Portrait Photography
When taking a portrait, I always try to incorporate an element of the subject's
personality in the picture. This creates a more personal, and representative
image.
As I don't have a permanent studio, most portraits are going to be done on-location.
Portraits can be done using a portable studio setup, but I have developed a fondness
for, and prefer to do on-location portraits. These may be weather dependant, but
usually produce a more natural feel to the picture.
Pricing depends entirely on what type of portraiture is requested, and the time
required, but generally it follows the usual pricing guideline of $100 per hour
shooting (between 1/2 and 1 hour of post production is required for each hour of
shooting, which is included in this price).
Engagement Photos
An engagement session usually lasts around 1 hour of shooting, and costs $100.I try to
come to the session with an idea of a style that fits the couple, and then develop between
6 and 12 poses that best depict that idea. I am always open to, and comfortable using
suggestions from the couple, as these are your pictures, not mine.
